109 - old project

Post by Tex » Tue Nov 19, 2024 6:59 pm

Back in the old days when ACG flew in Cliffs, I started making copies of various player's aircraft. I finished most of the Hurricanes for 501 and had started making my first 109 for, I think, Thaine?? This was a challenge because his side markings - some type of goat - were unavailable to me at the time. (Not sure if they even exist somewhere today.) So, I started trying to make my own with an ink jet printer and blank decal paper.
And then, I got sidetracked and never finished the project.
I finally dug the half finished model and threw on the decals I'd made. It is not going to win any contests. The carrier film is very thick and was a challenge to apply as it wanted to curl up into a tight roll. But, I finally got it down and threw on the kit decals to finish the fictitious markings scheme.
