Me 262
Out of nowhere, my son asked me to make him a model of the Me 262. I've been waiting years for him to ask for something, so off I went. This is the Tamiya kit with Mr. Color paints. I enjoyed the mottle finish. The scheme is fictious but one my son selected.

Re: Me 262
When is your son joining the squadron?

"Boys, this is a humbling sport."
"I knew #3 German ace, Gunther Rall and asked him why the majority of the Luftwaffe preferred the clearly poorer Bf 109 instead of the superior 190. It was the only time I ever saw him aggravated with me. He waved away my argument with his impatient hand: “Yes, Yes, whatever, but don’t you see we LOVED our 109s. We loved it.”

Absolutely wonderful, the mottling is spectacular

Looks fantastic and makes me want to free up some time and get back to my modelling bench as I've got a P-51 that's sat half finished for 2 years now!
