After the end of hitlers regime an abandoned bunker was found below the wolfsschanze. it contained nude photos of almost every german soldier, even some in explicit positions and other things which can only be called "bestiality". it was later discovered that this was one of hitlers private bunkers.
so clearly he was trying to protect the soldiers on the pictures, i mean what else could it be?
later these photographs were digitalized because of storing issues.
