Wow... so I spent most of last night getting to grips with my pedals and wheel setup... TOTALLY different experience from using a game controller... took me a long while to get used to it all but holy shit, when u carve the perfect hairpin turn it's fucking arousing lol... can't wait to get back on it tonight

Dirt Rally is now on sale on Steam. £23.99 according to the email I've just had.

OK, so I had a stab at the first stage tonight. Made it round, but I don't think it's a time that will trouble you guys. Still getting used to the wheel and sim at the same time, big lurning learning curve, and holy fuck it's a big step up from my little 1960's Lancia to the A Class

Hopefully as the season progresses I'll get more competitive, but that's all part of the joy eh?

Well I've taken advantage of the steam sale and purchased the game. I've also signed up for the league so I can start the process of embarrassing myself learning the ropes.

Just wondering whether to invest in the Shifter to go with my Thrustmaster RS300 wheel

Flappy paddles FTW 8-)

Seriously though, I'm thinking of getting a shifter, but I'm also thinking that it will add a good deal to my workload :joyman:

I'm a complete scumbag using automatic at the moment, and I still come last against all the AI.

That's because you use automatic. I can't control speed properly with automatic.

Frederf, I wasn't able to choose a setup before the first stage of the last event. There was no shakedown either. I don't know if the others had the same experience. I suspect it is because service area is not ticket for the first stage.

Yeah I wasn't able to do any of that either. Was planning to do a shakedown while I got used to the manual gears, but it chucked me straight in. RIP.
